Making Under a Broken Sky

This single started as an image: rain on dead neon, two silhouettes in the doorway of the last good night on Earth. We chased that feeling first — wide, cinematic lows, percussion that hits like debris, and vocals that refuse to whisper. The rap section was the riskiest move: a pressure valve that had to feel earned, not grafted on. We rewrote it until it sounded like someone snapping under the same sky the chorus already named. The mixes on the release (Trance Atlantic, Orchestral, Jaded, Troubled, Haunted) each lean into a different shadow of the same story — romance and ruin as the same weather system. If Edge of Depth was descent, this was what it feels like to dance on the way down.

Building Edge of Depth

Edge of Depth was born from a single question: what happens when you push drum and bass into rock territory without compromise? We spent weeks layering distorted guitars over rolling breaks, finding the sweet spot where both genres amplify each other. Each of the 5 parts was crafted to feel like a chapter — the same lyrical core filtered through increasingly intense arrangements.

The Fighting Every Day Sessions

Fighting Every Day started as a stripped-back demo on an acoustic guitar. The idea was always about resilience — that feeling of pushing through when everything tells you to stop. We recorded 11 different mixes because each one brought out a different facet of that emotion. The Flirty Mix? That wasn't planned. It just happened at 3am when we flipped the tempo.

Recording I Look in the Mirror

This track was the most personal thing we've ever written. Recording it meant sitting with uncomfortable truths and translating them into sound. The 7 variations emerged because no single version could capture the full spectrum of what self-reflection feels like — sometimes it's quiet and haunting, sometimes it's aggressive and confrontational.

The Ascension Saga

Ascension was our most ambitious project. Seven characters, each representing a different aspect of transformation. We built individual sonic worlds for each one — Axiom's calculated precision, Kharon's dark underworld, Syren's seductive chaos. The biggest challenge was making them feel connected while giving each character their own identity.

How We Built the Website

We wanted our website to be more than a digital flyer. The audio player with its real-time visualizer, the custom EQ, the ember effects — everything was designed to make visitors feel like they're stepping into the Emberlyn world. Yes, there's even a hidden Pac-Man game. And a Konami code easter egg. We believe in rewarding curiosity.
